Healing Energy – Qigong Workshops Taught by Grandmaster Yuanming Zhang

Watertown, MA

June 11 - 29, 2010


Energize Your Life - Reduce stress, calm the emotions, improve health, boost immunity and help heal illness. The Chinese practice of Qigong (Chi Kung, energy work) is the foundation of Tai Chi and acupuncture. No experience with Qigong or Tai Chi is necessary.

Sat. June 26, 10:00am-4:00pm            Tiger Qigong
Cost:  $90, paid in advance, $100 at the door.
Master Zhang is the original public teacher of Tiger Qigong, which was taught to the royal family by Master Zhang's ancestors. Learn to use energy of the Tiger to strengthen the body, boost the immune system and build up internal energy and power, which can be applied to Qi-healing as well as martial arts. In this full-day workshop, Master Zhang will teach the full Tiger Qigong, including Shaman Tiger Qigong, Immortal Tiger Talisman Qigong, Immortal Tiger Talisman Energy Water, Immortal Tiger Internal Alchemy, and the 16 Form Royal Family Tiger Qigong.

Sun. June 27, 10:30am-1:00pm            Bagua Qigong
Cost:  $55, paid in advance, $65 at the door.
In addition to being an internal martial art, basic Bagua is also excellent as Qigong to strengthen the body as method of healing oneself and others. Learn the history, philosophy and theory of Bagua and how to work with the energies used in Bagua and learn the first 2 palms. This class is good if you have no Bagua experience, or want to focus on the energetic aspects of Bagua.

Sun. June 27, 2:00-4:30pm                    Twelve Pieces of Silk Brocade
Cost:  $55, paid in advance, $65 at the door.
This is a sitting form of a classic set of qigong exercises with easy-to-do movements open the energy gates of the body, improve suppleness, and benefit the energy flow in the body. It also strengthens the foundational energy of the body, thereby strengthening all the internal organs and increase longevity.

Grandmaster Zhang is also available to give Qigong healing treatments, as well as private and semiprivate lessons in Qigong and the internal martial arts of Xing Yi, Bagua and Taiji by appointment.
