Description:

The dragon has been a powerful and potent spiritual symbol in China for over five thousand years due to its majesty, vitality, and power.  The dragon has long represented a transcendent freedom from limitations and bounds of the mundane world.  As such it has come to represent an iconic image of benefits of Daoist martial, healing, and self-cultivation arts.  The motif of the Fire Dragon has captivated practitioners for over two thousand years and practices drawing upon this imagery have been transmitted since ancient times.

The legendary Daoist sage Lu Dongbin developed Fire Dragon Qigong during the Tang Dynasty (618-907 C.E.), a golden age of Chinese civilization.  This technique synthesizes this longstanding imagery, traditional techniques, and breath and energy work with Daoist meditation and visualization, traditional Chinese medicine, and internal kung fu to restore and balance the body and spirit, increase the immune system, attune the senses, and heighten higher faculties.

This powerful winter practice increases the flow and circulation of Qi throughout the energy meridians, removes physical, mental, and emotional blockages, imbalances, and stagnation and creates a powerful and enduring sense of health and wellness.  Fire Dragon Qigong is an effective therapeutic and preventative regiment for healing chronic and acute illnesses, ailments, and imbalances through a combination of hand and foot reflexology work, acupressure massage along the energy meridians, and dynamic motions.
